The HAVI Conference

A national convening of stakeholders from government, healthcare, philanthropy, and frontline violence prevention.

Each year, the HAVI National Conference convenes a national group of stakeholders from government, healthcare, philanthropy, and frontline violence prevention to share innovative and best practices, lessons from the field, and research on violence intervention, healing equity, and community partnerships to bring this powerful work to scale.

HAVI Conference Update

After significant deliberation, we have decided not to host our annual conference this year. This decision was not made lightly, as the HAVI conference has been a yearly highlight for the organization and provides an invaluable opportunity for networking, learning, and collaboration. However, this year is an important one for the HAVI—the 15th anniversary of our founding—and to commemorate this milestone, we have decided to focus our efforts on a special anniversary event that will honor the legacy and achievements of the HAVI and our network. We are in the process of planning this event, which will take place this fall, and we are excited to share more details soon.

The 15th anniversary of the HAVI is a celebration of the profound impact and growth we have achieved since our inception. In 2009, the foundation of our organization was laid by the National Network of Hospital-Based Violence Intervention Programs (NNHVIP), which pioneered the first network dedicated to addressing violence through a hospital-based approach. Our journey since then has been remarkable—filled with achievements, learning, and an ever-expanding community committed to making a difference.

Thank you for being a part of our journey and for your ongoing support. Here's to celebrating 15 years of the HAVI and to many more years of impactful work ahead!
