About The HAVI

The Health Alliance for Violence Intervention (HAVI) is an organization that fosters hospital and community collaborations to advance equitable, trauma-informed care and violence intervention and prevention programs.

 

Register for Violence Prevention Professional Training

Join the HAVI in Detroit, Michigan, from Monday, October 28 to Friday, November 1 for the Violence Prevention Professional Training, our 35-hour program for frontline violence intervention workers. At the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  1. Address trauma and violence in a healthcare setting through the lens of racial equity and trauma-informed care.

  2. Describe the effects of trauma on survivors, families, and service providers.

  3. Support patients in a hospital or community setting.

  4. Address the physical and mental health needs of clients to help reduce cycles of retaliatory violence.

The cost for members is $900 and for non-members is $1,500. We can accept a maximum of two people per organization. There is a limited number of seats available, so please register today!
