Annually, NACCHO360 is the largest convening of local health department leaders and public health professionals in the United States, offering the opportunity to learn, network, and share experiences and best practices across local health departments. In 2024, we will gather in Detroit, Michigan, July 23-26, to explore the conference theme, "Heard it Through the Grapevine: Public Health Partnerships, Collaboration, and Innovation.”

 April 24-25, 2024 - The 26th Annual Connecticut Trauma Conference will be be held this year at the Mohegan Sun.

The Connecticut Trauma Conference continues to provide high quality education in trauma, critical care and injury prevention. This year's speakers come from local, regional, and national centers and will share their expertise in trauma care across the continuum.

Medical challenges arise each year in Pennsylvania, especially in trauma care. The ATSPA’s annual conference aims to provide an educational arena for pre-hospital personnel, physicians, nurses, administrators, social workers, rehabilitation specialists and others to learn about current trends in trauma.

The conference speakers consistently provide up-to-date information on various topics. As an educational event, conference attendees receive continuing education credit.

In addition to the educational aspect, the annual conference delivers an excellent networking opportunity with other medical professionals and service companies/organizations.

National Youth Violence Prevention Week, from April 22 to 26 this year, is the time of the year when certain organizations place a great focus on preventing youth violence. Sponsored by the National Association of Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) and Sandy Hook Promise, the week looks at the different instances of youth violence that have taken place over the past few years. It also aims to encourage student involvement, so people of all ages are better prepared to tackle cases of youth violence before they occur. The end goal is to ensure no young lives are lost in horrifying acts of violence.

Since 1981, National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) has challenged the Nation to confront and remove barriers to achieving justice for all victims of crime. During NCVRW, we celebrate the accomplishments of the victims’ rights movement and reflect on how far we have come.

Every April, OVC leads communities throughout the country in their annual observances of NCVRW. We will observe NCVRW April 21–27, 2024, with the theme—

Advancing injury prevention through community-engaged research

Hosted by the Injury Prevention Research Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

The theme for the 2024 SAVIR Annual Conference is "Advancing injury prevention through community-engaged research”. The conference will highlight ways in which researchers are engaging communities in a meaningful way to advance injury and violence prevention. 

During the conference, we will explore methods, strategies, and the role of working with community partners, community leaders and others to conduct research, outreach and training activities. Join us to share ideas and perspectives, and to learn about innovative approaches to injury and violence prevention.

The 2024 Community Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative (CVIPI) Grantee Conference is an opportunity for CVIPI grantees to network with Office of Justice Programs (OJP) grant managers and other community violence intervention (CVI) grantees while learning and sharing best practices and strategies for implementing violence intervention activities.
