Map of Current HAVI Member Programs (USA)
Hospital-based or hospital-linked violence intervention programs (HVIPs) are multidisciplinary programs that identify patients at risk of repeat violent injury and link them with hospital- and community-based resources aimed at addressing underlying risk factors for violence. The HAVI consists of member programs across America and internationally that come together to develop the work of hospital-based violence prevention and intervention, share best practices, and encourage trauma-informed care for survivors of violence.
As of January 2025, the HAVI has 80 members, including 66 hospital-based violence intervention programs (HVIPs), 6 organizational members, and 3 student/trainee members.
