Kalice Allen
Senior Coordinator, Policy and Advocacy

Kalice Allen is a senior coordinator for policy and advocacy at the HAVI. In her role, her main focus is on developing and implementing state-level Medicaid policies to promote community violence prevention. With a background in community organizing and public health research, Kalice brings valuable expertise to her role. Previously, she served as a Senior Research Associate at Everytown for Gun Safety, where she conducted research on the impact of gun violence on children and teens, firearm suicide prevention, and gun safety policies in the U.S. Southern region. Additionally, Kalice also worked at the Research on Innovations for Safety and Equity (RISE) Lab at Boston University School of Public Health, examining the structural determinants in firearm disparities and place-based interventions in urban communities. Kalice earned a Master of Public Health degree specializing in health policy and law from Boston University School of Public Health and a Bachelor's in Public Health from St. Catherine University.
