Brave Space: Cultivating Resilience and Solidarity

For Frontline Violence Prevention Workers

The first Brave Space of the year will focus on how grief, uncertainty, and community stress are showing up in frontline roles — including how the current political climate is affecting the communities frontline workers serve and what that means for safety and preparedness.

This session will explore how loss and cumulative stress affect frontline workers and offer practical tools for sustaining well-being while continuing this work. Participants will leave with strategies to strengthen personal and team resilience and remain steady in their roles.

The second hour will include small-group discussions focused on safety and preparedness, including Know Your Rights information, emergency planning, and resources related to the current political climate and violence in communities — so frontline workers have clear information as they navigate what is unfolding locally.

About Brave Space

Brave Space is an ongoing series created by and for frontline workers, grounded in the realities of their roles, their work, and the communities they serve. Some sessions build on shared themes; others respond to what frontline workers are facing in the moment.
